This still life painting is of my favourite pair of shoes that I painted during the pandemic. They have now started to show more severe signs of wear and tear thus to memorialise them I decided to use them as my object for my still life study. Personally, I believe that this has been one of my most successful attempts at realism and a great learning opportunity with watercolour as I was able to transfer every fold and stain of the shoes onto the paper.
