This piece is the second in a pair exploring high visual realism through a monochromatic painting of an angel statue. Chosen for its complex structure, the statue allowed me to study light, shadow, and tonal values to create depth and contrast. The angel also ties into my IB portfolio theme, which explores how art has shaped religion, symbolising spiritual presence through detailed and realistic representation.
