For my final editorial illustration project, I selected an article from Tricycle Buddhist magazine about a young girl learning to come to terms with her father’s death and the mysterious nature of his service in the air force. Rather than focus on the sadness of her loss, I chose to illustrate her journey of growth, transformation, and the empowerment she found through overcoming grief. My approach aimed to celebrate her resilience, capturing the ways she found meaning and strength amidst uncertainty, and reflecting the article’s underlying message of hope and personal evolution.
