For the final project in my Colour of Intent class, I completed a portrait study. Although I’ve been an avid oil painter for some time, this was my first time tackling a portrait, which made the experience both exciting and challenging. The project gave me a chance to use my recently practiced technique into a portrait. I enjoyed experimenting with colour and lighting to capture the mood and individuality of the subject.
