For my digital illustration class, I created a portrait study of Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, focusing on the aesthetic of his After Hours album. Using Photoshop, I explored digital painting techniques to capture the moody atmosphere and dramatic lighting characteristic of the album’s visuals. This project allowed me to experiment with colour, lighting, and expression, deepening my skills in digital portraiture and enhancing my ability to convey mood through digital media.
