For my final project in my Illustrating Beyond the Page class, I created a five-page narrative comic that explores my journey from Dubai to Savannah. Through this piece, I wanted to capture the emotional and sensory shift of moving from a highly urbanised, bustling city to a small, charming town filled with Spanish moss and lush greenery. The comic reflects not just the physical transition between two distinct places, but also the sense of discovery that came with experiencing Savannah’s inviting landscape after leaving behind the cityscape of Dubai.
