This piece marks my first experience working with India ink and coloured pencils. I began by creating an underpainting in India ink, carefully establishing all the values before adding layers of colour with pencil on top. The process was engaging and enjoyable, offering a new approach to building depth and vibrancy in the artwork. While I found the coloured pencil less appealing, experimenting with India ink revealed a medium that sparked a newfound interest.
