This still life painting is of my favourite pair of shoes that I painted during the pandemic. They have now started to show more severe signs of wear and tear; thus, to memorialise them, I decided to use them as my object for my still life study. Personally, I believe that this has been one of my most successful attempts at realism and a great learning opportunity with watercolour, as I was able to transfer every fold and stain of the shoes onto the paper. These shoes have been with me for years, wanting to take this opportunity to create promotional media for Converse, as this aligns with one of their brand slogan "made by you".
